Illinois Can Learn From Wisconsin’s Success

by Matt Batzel Jan. 10,2012

Heading into 2011, Wisconsin faced a budget deficit of $3.6 billion. Wisconsin boldly passed its now famous Budget Repair Bill that required public employee contributions for healthcare and pensions. Like it or not, the Budget Repair Bill and other measures eliminated Wisconsin’s $3.6 billion deficit without one-time budget fixes or accounting gimmicks.

Perhaps more importantly, the Budget Repair Bill also gave local governments more flexibility to deal with their budget challenges. As a result, property taxes are flat or down across the state of Wisconsin.

Because of real, systemic fiscal reform, Wisconsin did not raise taxes, has its pension fully funded, and has a solid credit rating. Thanks to the contributions for healthcare and pensions, Wisconsin did not have to lay off public employees.

Scientists Discover Gassy Liberal Pseudo-Science

What If Elections Don't Matter?

By Judge Andrew Napolitano Jan 12, 2012

What if government policies didn't change when government's leaders did? What if no matter who won an election, government stayed the same? What if government was really a revolving door of political hacks, bent on exploiting the people while they're in charge?

EVERY WONDER WHAT

WATER CAN DO?

                                         An email from Alan Falor

************************************************************************

Water - Who Knew?

Did you ever wonder why people urinate so much at night time?

Here is one answer from a Cardiac Doctor.

Gravity holds water in the lower part of your body when you are upright. When you lie down and the lower body (legs and other things) seeks level with the kidneys, it is then the kidneys remove the water because it is easier. This then ties in with the last statement!

You need your minimum water to help flush the toxins out of your body, but the above was new news.

Correct time to drink water:

(Very Important ... from A Cardiac Specialist!)

Drinking water at a certain time maximizes its effectiveness on the body:

2 glasses of water after waking up - helps activate internal organs

1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion

1 glass of water before taking a bath - helps lower blood pressure

1 glass of water before going to bed - avoids stroke or heart attack

One last note:

Water at bed time will also help prevent night time leg cramps.

Your leg muscles are seeking hydration when they cramp and wake you up with a Charlie Horse.
